In this years Big Day Out `08, Boxwars made its debut appearance @ the Lilyworld Stage. The Boxwars Council organised its biggest tour of Australia yet. Including the Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth. This has been hailed as our largest undertaking, and raved as THE tour de force of Boxwars finesse The Big Day Out Tour for `08 was fantastic...with out doubt was the grandest show of Boxwars force from the Australian chapter. On this tour some of the best Boxwars moments occurred. Manny memories of cardboard craziness was made. 

Boxwars was recently invited to do the Big Day Out national tour, by the infamous Lilyworld stage.  Sydney, Adelaide, Perth & the Gold Coast finally had the chance to witness the might of Boxwars original creators. And of course, we appeared at our home town Melbourne.  The Boxwars Council undertook the grandest construction effort…ever undertaken in Boxwars enterprise!! A grand total of 125 suits where produced for this tour, to bring smiles to face across oz. (Four groups of five Agilitor’s and one group of four Mammotha’s per show).  This year, the infinite wisdom of the Lilyworld’s Dj’s Heavy G, Larry, Christo & Duckpond, chose to theme their stage ALL cardboard….obviously…we HAD to be there! Along with staging a battle for each show, the Boxwars Council also ran a day long workshop assembling cardboard fashion accessories for keen punters!  Additionally, we helped out the Lilyworld art department which did a fantastic job at producing a cardboard wonderland, lead by James Clarke. You can see in the pictures that this is clearly THE best cardboard stage that has ever been made of cardboard in Big Day Out history as of 2008 when we wrote this........  Boxwars collaboration with the Lilyworld saw this art form get the platform it needed. Cheers for all of you who participated, watched, cheered, helped out, made fun of, kicked butt. We had a ball, hope we can do it again…
