 October 6 2007 St. Kilda was rudely jolted on Sat 6th October 2007. The St Kilda Bowls Club was where punters witnessed a microcosmic event of mammoth proportions....the invasion of the Cardboard Conquistadors, conquering their final frontier... POP CULTURE! This was a reenacted cardboard rendered history, produced by the Boxwars Council for Melbourne Fringe Festival 2007. Rather than calling it a show, we'd prefer to entitle it a scientific experiment of limitless credibility. The test was to see what could have happened if the Spaniard's pre history religious zeal had ruled the world via the conduit of pop culture. A terrible proposition.... Just barely passing the biblical censors where the rocking bands Cloud City and The Hybernators, who provided music for the evening. |
